Printing the VE Application form:
There are 2 ways to print the VE application form. the first method, using Adobe Acrobat PDF files, usually the easier. If that method does not work for you, try the second method, but you may have to fiddle with some settings on your browser and/or your printer to make the form come out properly.
Method 1 - Printing using Adobe Acrobat:
If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can use it to print the VE Application form. Simply click on the icon below to go to the Acrobat PDF version of the form.
Method 2 - Printing directly from the web site:
Depending on the settings in use for your web browser, you may find that the VE Application Form does not always print properly. In some cases, two pages are produced, with part of the form on one page, and part on another. In other situations, the edges of the form are cut off, so that not all the printing is readable.
The solution to both of these problems is to reset the default page margins to more reasonable values. The VE Application form is designed to print properly when the page margins are set to 1/2 inch on all sides. All standard printers, including all of the laser, ink-jet, and dot matrix models (that we are aware of) will accommodate these settings.
If you have already determined that your system is set up to accommodate these values, simply click here to go to the next page, and print the form on your printer. Otherwise, look below for information on setting page margins.
Printer Setup:
Microsoft Internet Explorer:
When the VE Application Form page is displayed:
(1) Click on "FILE" (upper left corner)
(2) Select "PAGE SETUP"
(3) When the Page Setup dialog box is displayed, select or enter the following settings:
Paper size: LETTER 8.5 X 11 inches
Orientation: Portrait
Set each margin to 0.5" by entering 0.5 in each of the 4 margin areas (top, bottom, left, right)
(4) Click "OK" to save these values
(5) Select "FILE" then "PRINT" (or simply click on the "PRINT" button on the tool bar at the top of the screen)

Netscape Navigator:
When the VE Application Form page is displayed:
(1) Click on "FILE" (upper left corner)
(2) Select "PAGE SETUP"
(3) When the Page Setup dialog box is displayed, select or enter the following settings:
Set each margin to 0.5" by entering 0.5 in each of the 4 margin areas (top, bottom, left, right)
(4) You can set the "header" and "footer" boxes however you wish, they will not change how the basic page is printed. These options basically determine whether or not various web page related data (such as the URL of the page and the time it was printed) are added to the page as it is printed.
(5) Click "OK" to save these values
(6) Select "FILE" then "PRINT" (or simply click on the "PRINT" button on the tool bar at the top of the screen)

Other web browsers:
The page setup options for most other web browsers are similar to the two outlined above. You may have to experiment a bit to get things right. If all else fails, use the built-in "help" system, and look for "page setup" and / or "margins" for directions applicable to your particular system.
